For the Love of Tulips III
Pastel, 8 x 8"
|
Terrie Lombardi's choice of medium is pastel. She says, "Pastels are the perfect solution for my rich use of expressive color and shadows." Terrie creates images that reflect both beauty and dignity revealing the delicate softness of petals in a vase of abundant flowers or the passionate use of color to express the headed perfume of a simple arrangement.
Terrie was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She has studied at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and the Art Students League of Denver. She has participated in numerous workshops with instructors such as Tony Ortego, Carol Katchen, Quang Ho, Kang Cho, Albert Handell, Lorenzo Chavez, Doug Dawson and Desmond O'Hagan.
Terrie is an active member of the Pastel Society of America and the pastel Society of Colorado where she holds the position of Director at large for the Denver area. She has also taught pastel workshops at the Foothills Art Center in Golden, Colorado.
