GLAZING: COLOR + TRANSPARENCY
Part of the magic of watercolor is its transparency. We will be exploring the nature of color when one hue overlaps another. We will explore how to put that transparency to very good use by:
- learning to create a rich assortment of colors
- learning how to alter an "inaccurate" color to produce a more desirable color
- warming or cooling an already existing color
Bring your own photo references to paint from because each person will be working with subject matter of their own choosing. Feel free to bring existing paintings that you might want input on regarding how to alter particular color problems or issues.
This workshop is open for beginners to advanced students. It's helpful if folks have had some watercolor experience but certainly is not necessary...every body's welcome!
