News from Buffalo, WY - Pottery Workshop deadline June 29

Hi Everyone,
This summer we have an incredibly fun workshop lined up for August 6 – 10, 2012, with guest artist Genie Thomsen.  This 5 day workshop will focus on several raku firing techniques and hand-building projects. Discover the many alternative firing techniques of raku pottery and learn creative handbuilding methods.  We will create dazzling pottery using metallic and crackle glazes, horsehair embellishments, naked raku process and black on black carved pieces.   The first two days will be hand-on construction with Genie sharing some of her unique hand-building techniques and projects with you.  The last three days you will learn several glazing and raku firing techniques with the pottery you created.  Students attending the workshop will be able to take home several pieces of their work and can use them as examples of several alternative firing techniques of raku pottery.
Great news for those of you that are teachers, this workshop has been approved by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standard Board for Professional Development Credits of 35 hours = 2.5 credits.
The fee for the workshop is $365 if paid and registered by June 29 and $395 after June 29 2012.  Please see the attached registration from for more details.
