The Van Tassell carriage barn, where the Cheyenne Artists Guild calls home, is receiving a much needed renovation.
Lowe's is taking the building on as part of a community project.
They're paying to completely renovate the inside and outside of the building.
The old carriage house is registered as one of the state's historic buildings and was originally built in the 1870's.
It hasn't received any renovations in over 20 years.
Artists Guild President, Dianna James, says she'd looked at replacing the outside of the building. But being a non-profit organization, couldn't afford the $22,000- $28,000 thousand estimated cost.
"It means the world to us. Just by the grace of God they came to us. Because we don't have the funds to replace this," James said.
The building is expected to be completed sometime in mid-June.
